Colourful Colonial

Photos: Architectural Digest

Espcially during summer I get the colonial fever. I want my home to be like something 'Out of Africa' (preferably with a certain charming edition of Denys Finch Hatton on my porch...). I love the notion of a cool elegant refuge from the mercyless heat and sun. Normally, colonial style means dark wood and natural colours. In the house near the Gulf of Oman they've added a bright blue that really sparks things up. Not cozy for winter, I agree, but for summer it's gorgeous. Oh, and that lamp in the hall... I think I'm in love...

Håller med - inredningen blir lite kall på vintern men man kan mjuka upp den ganska så rejält. Håller med lampan är underbara. Gillar även stolarna på nedersta bilden!

I love the windows and doors, the furniture, the hanging pendant light, the turquoise... I could go on and on. I can't wait to read the article and hear this home's story.
